Skid unit fabrication at Grazco, LLC is a modular system on a common frame: equipment, process piping, valves, instruments, and structural supports assembled in the Houston shop so the unit is easier to install, transport, and commission. Packages are built to the customer's drawings and specifications.

Compressor skids, piping skids, and packaged skid units stay under one roof with structural steel, process piping, and welding. Shop fit-up is easier to control than building the same scope stick-by-stick on site, and the package is simpler to ship.

Field crews set and tie in skid units on oil and gas and heavy industrial sites. Pre-assembled piping and supports on the frame shorten the field weld-out.

How a skid meets the piping and the vessel

Process piping on the frame is the same spool work as mechanical piping. The steel base is structural steel. When the package includes a vessel or a high-pressure bottle, that weld scope is quoted with pressure vessel fabrication.
